Grants

Introduction    Connecting Community Plus, Community Grants
Grassroots Grants programme    Faiths in Action

CDF has over eight years of grant management and administration experience.

Since 1999 CDF has operated as a Managing Agent (grant administrator) for the Neighbourhood Support Fund (NSF) sponsored by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) with over 500 local groups in receipt of grants from 2000 – 2003 and 127 groups in receipt of grants from 2003 – 2006. This fund totalled some £58 million over six years.

It is due to the success of this work that we gained the grant administration of the Faith Communities Capacity Building Fund (FCCBF) for the Cohesion and Faiths Unit of the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), (currently £13.8 million over three years). We have also gained the grant administration of Connecting Communities Plus, Community Grants programme (£3 million over three years) from the Race Equality Unit and Cohesion and Faiths Unit, again part of DCLG.

CDF can both administer grants and provide added value to funding programmes via our experience of community development approaches and community organisations which underpins our approach.
