The evaluation for Faiths in Action began in 2009.

NEW: The interim evaluation report of Faiths in Action and Regional Faith Forums has been published.

The interim report of the Regional Faith Forums and first year of Round 1 locally funded Faiths in Action groups is now available for a free download. The report reflects on the strengths and weaknesses of both programmes to date, providing an opportunity for shared learning.

The Regional Faith Forums have been working strategically to help create a voice for faith at the regional level, as well as acting  at a more local level to coordinate planning and promote cohesion. The Regional Faith Forums have also actively promoted local inter faith work creating stronger networks with local faith forums and providing a more coordinated approach to inter faith work.

The second year of the evaluation will continue to examine the role and impact of the Regional Faith Forums, particularly in terms of the local networks. There will also be a greater focus on the impact of the Faiths in Action grants on the remaining funded projects. Local groups applied for funding from spring 2009, with 216 groups offered a grant in Round 1 and 363 groups offered grants in Round 2.
