Quality assurance involves the application of agreed standards to action on engagement and empowerment so that both immediate and wider stakeholders can know that the action has achieved a certain level and quality of empowerment outcomes. NEP has commissioned work on the theme Measuring empowerment and community development – what does good look like? As part of this, a mapping exercise was undertaken to look at the tools and frameworks that were available to carry out quality assurance on empowerment work. The report can be downloaded here.
The report identified 45 different resources that can be applied in this context, making it a challenge to find something suitable for a particular situation. This search engine allows you to filter the database of quality assurance resources based on user group and resource type. You can also use a text search if you are looking for information on a particular tool or framework.
