Tackling Race Inequalities Fund was a £8.8 million grant programme which supported third sector organisations working in the area of race equality.
This included research work, promoting equality of opportunity, increasing civic participation by people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups, and building capacity for organisations working in this area.
TRIF funded 27 organisations operating across England or one of its regions, with grants of between £200,000 and £450,000 spread over two years (July 2009 – March 2010 and April 2010 – March 2011).
