When it comes to caring about the local community, who knows better than the people who live there?

They’re the ones who see the broken playgrounds, the isolated older people and the lack of things for young people to do.

Here at the Community Development Foundation, our background means that people living in communities trust us.

We work with communities and our clients to give out funding and to run community engagement projects.

We carry out research to find out what works and what doesn’t, so we can tell people about it.

And by working independently and with our clients and partners we provide the tools for communities to help themselves.

We know that people living in communities can come up with their own solutions and that in their hands a small amount of money can go a long way.

That’s why we give them funding for their own projects, instead of funding things we think they might want.

By taking the time to communicate with people that others may not be able to reach we understand the way communities work.

And we recognise when our clients are getting it right too by awarding them our Love Your Community quality mark.

We’ve worked hard to achieve this over nearly half a century, so let’s continue putting it to good use to help our communities.
